I’ve always been passionate about helping brands evolve—honoring their heritage while seamlessly bringing them into the digital world without changing what already works. For me, Jack Daniel’s is an iconic name that instantly evokes whiskey, cowboys, the USA, country music… and maybe the occasional hangover.
When I joined Communicator, my mission was clear: to help Jack Daniel’s UK establish a stronger presence on social media. Over the course of a year, I worked closely with the client to utilize their extensive content libraries and developed a mix of static and video assets that showcased the vast world of JD. From full-scale productions to impromptu shoots on the streets of Shoreditch with just my phone, the goal was to create authentic, engaging content.
Beyond social media, we also supported activations such as secret events and interactive live promotions, bringing the brand to life in new and exciting ways. It was a rewarding challenge to help such an iconic name continue to resonate in today’s digital landscape.
Jack Daniel's took concert promotion to the next level with a secret gig featuring The Vaccines. Fans in London and Manchester became detectives, piecing together cryptic clues hidden across social media and digital billboards to uncover the surprise venue. This clever "Easter egg" activation rewarded fans with an exclusive concert experience while fostering deeper engagement with the brand.
To boost brand awareness and engagement, Jack Daniel's partnered with Yates Bars for an interactive Facebook experience. Users explored a visually engaging canvas to uncover hidden promo codes for Jack Daniel's drinks at Yates Bars, discover new product offerings, and learn about upcoming deals and events.
